Canon Lbp 2900b Printer Driver For Ubuntu 10.04
I own a Canon LBP 2900i printer. sudo service ccpd status (usually display comes as follows) /usr/sbin/ccpd: 6937 6936 captstatusui -P LBP2900 This will pop up a new window. In the unity interface, I would think it will come up if you type it into the search box on the dash. In any event, I wish you well and hope you are able to resolve your problem, Chandraubunt. his comment is here

However, you do so at entirely your own risk. While Canon does provide a Linux driver (both *.deb and *.rpm files), they are compiled to work only on a 32bit OS (which is like ½ Linux support).
Obviously, if you need this script to run automatically, then having it come up and ask for the password is not what you want. In the gnome-shell you can open one up from "accessories/gedit". Be warned, though (also see general caveat). Adding your printer and start the printer daemon with the following commands from a Terminal (open with Ctrl+Alt+T): service cups restart (usually display comes as follows) stop: Unknown job: cups start: great finally, I got the print out ......... > > BUT > > (here is the complete story) I think, as I have done lots of experiment, > thus I have A realistic option for enclosing a geographic area Why are aperture settings visible when previewing photo on camera screen? http://askubuntu.com/questions/487627/how-to-install-canon-lbp2900b-printer-in-14-04-lts-i-tried-the-method-for-lbp2 Just restart the printer physically.

Then followed the following link, which I think is most suited as mentioned for LBP XXXXX http://www.unixmen.com/linux-distributions/ubuntu/229-installation-canon-lbp2900-on-linux It worked, but as soon as I restart the PC (Here I would again this content Hello Chandraubunt I am so sorry, but I am a new user to Ubuntu and so am only able to provide advice as it directly and specifically pertains to the printer One other thing, it probably doesn't have any relevance, but I did all of the following from the "Gnome-Classic" shell in Ubuntu 12.04 LTS. I'm not sure why it is sometimes there and sometime not. Extract the two deb files and start as below Install cndrvcups-common_2.40-1_i386.deb first, and then cndrvcups-capt_2.40-1_i386.deb without any error messages. If the questions are so similar that the same answer works on each, then the later of the two is likely a duplicate and should be flagged as such. –Karl Richter While the process of compiling your own stuff is not very hard to accomplish (when you do have the proper instructions), trying to do this without knowing the exact dependencies is
For those who are brand new to this kind of thing, once it has opened in Archive manager, you could do what I did and extract the folder containing the package
