I confirmed this issue with a live WD Tech Support person on 01/10/2010 and he offered no solution other than to purchase a new / current HD. I today installed Windows XP mode only to find that it apparently has NO Firewire support. It doesn't seem like panasonic has windows 10 drivers for a 10 year old camcorder. Cancel Unsubscribe Working... Western Digital states on their website that they do not have a current driver or firmware for their older HDs. are no long providing Firewire connectivity on their products. I wonder if fed with aFirewire stream whether the data would show up on the USB port??
