It isn't listed in the driver list specifically (that I can see anyway) and using a generic window's driver prints a test page fine, but printing from Works word processor the Hopefully, it will work. I wish I had looked into this issue before I spent $25 on a new ink cartridge for the printer!! This doesn't mean it won't work in XP, however I don't think getting that printer to work on 64-bit is feasible.Click to expand... She bought it locally at Office Depot so she could return it if it didn't work. It will have to be an adapter cable since PCI cards won't work here.
Canon BJ-200 driver? his comment is here grumble grumble Anyway, against my advice, my mother went with a USB to Centronics cable (I recommended some of the mini print servers linked above). Anyway, the OS gave no indication that it detected anything new installed once this thing was plugged in (I made sure to plug it in while the computer was off). If you're not already familiar with forums, watch our Welcome Guide to get started.
But, it works, and the ink is still pretty cheap. The move to 64-bit ended driver support on a lot of printers/scanners/etc much newer than the BJ-200. #2 fralexandr, Mar 31, 2014 Last edited: Mar 31, 2014 code65536 Golden Member The time now is 10:19. .
and allow Win8 better access to making this all work. This printer wants a 25-pin female connector. Any suggestions? #1 DrMrLordX, Mar 31, 2014 Loading...

I have a printer that works. I don't know about driver support for that particular model, but I had Win8 recognize an old HP Deskjet 840C without any issues at all.

Just add a printer, select Canon for the manufacturer and Canon Bubble-Jet BJ-200 for the Printer. First off, in my ignorance, I assumed this Canon BJ-200 needed a 25-pin female connector. Oh well. the 400 might be a good option. > -- > Cari (MS-MVP) > Windows Technologies - Printing & Imaging > http://www.coribright.com/windows > > "Gavsky" wrote in message > news:[email protected] >

I am sorry to report that my mother's poor old BJ-200 finally bit the dust (something in the control board/firmware went haywire), so she wound up getting a new printer anyway. Oh yeah, don't I know it. Well buy OEM ink and then attach printer and test it alone, remember the self-test???
